Christmas and New Year Celebrations at The Inn
Well, it was a busy first Christmas for us at the White Horse! The village meal held on the 19th was a great success with around 90 people attending the 3 course Christmas meal and it was lovely to see old and new faces alike. Christmas Eve saw the judging of the Christmas Colouring Competition with Matthew Waters and Charlotte Edwards winning their respective age groups. This was followed by a family pub quiz with the younger team members showing the oldies a thing or two! Christmas Day succeeded in ensuring most people couldn’t move after their 6 courses! The New Year’s Eve race night resulted in a few ‘hoarse’ voices and with the raffle and hog roast, raised approximately £250 for Midland’s Air Ambulance. Finally, it was lovely to see the South Shropshire Hunt return to The White Horse for their New Year’s Day meet and with clear blue skies and sunshine, there was an impressive turnout.
